Our Creative Corner Challenge

This is my entry for the challenge at Our Creative Corner. This weeks challenge was to use something recycled. The middle blue paper is handmade paper that I made with a little help from Bill Nye the Science Guy. I picked up his little paper making machine at Walmart for $5 and spent at least 2 weeks making paper. I finally got a chance to attach one to a card! I received this cute little image from Jacilynn. He just looked so sad and lonely and 'blue'. So that was my theme. I colored him with my Crayola colored pencils, distressed all edges with Tim Holtz distressed ink - weathered wood and added four brads as my embellishments.

  1. Soo Cute! Love the sentiment. Did I tell you this is my favorite Edwin of all time?? I love him, can't get enough of him. reminds my of my son. He had wings originally but I cut them off, cause it kinda sissy'd him up in my opion. lol

  2. Your home made paper turned out so nice. I love the texture. It looks great with your blue boy.

  3. OMG - you made your own paper - that is soooo cool!!! Way to go!!!

The image is super cute and I love how you colored it!!! Your recycled paper definitely rocks with this card!!!

Thank you for playing along!!! ~S~
